Algo que me ayudo a despejar un poco el atasco de ideas fué buscar juegos print-and-play para jugar con mis hijos, para tal fin visitar El Diario de WKR es parada obligada, me adentré en el mundo de los juegos de mesa, y debo admitir que me agobió la existencia de tanto título, tanto gratuitos como de paga, con toda una gama no solo de precios sino de temáticas y claro presentaciones.


Al conocer y explorar me tope con varios productores de juegos de mesa print and play como Cheapass Games y me meti un poco mas a la BoardGameGeek lo que me llevo a conocer juegos por demás interesantes y divertidos.

Let's Catch a Lion es un juego que si uno se va con la finta parece ser un juego sencillo para niños, lo que es ciertamente, pero es también un juego con un nivel de profundidad que bien puede atrapar a más grandes.

El juego se llama Dobutso Shogi, algo así como "Ajedrez de los Animales" al menos eso tengo entendido, este juego es la versión simplificada del juego Shogi, el ajedrez japonés y fue creado por Madoka Kitao, que además es campeona y jugadora profesional de Shogi.

Ella crea este juego para promover el interés en el juego de shogi y lo dirige hacia los niños, son 4 figuras que en las piezas se indica como se mueven y el objetivo es atrapar al león, el juego es una mezcla ajedrez con damas inglesas, el pequeño tablero lejos de ser limitante permite a los jugadores enfocarse en sus acciones y las de su oponente.

El Juego cuenta además con 2 expansiones, Goro Goro Dobutso Shogi, y Dobutso Shogi into the Greenwood que  amplian el tablero y las piezas, siendo Into the Greenwood un juego de Shogi pero con la misma estética que sus predecesores.

Bueno muy lindo y que tiene que ver con Robotech?

Buena pregunta, ya que ando en animo creativo y ya que me hice de mi propio juego de Dobutso Shogi para jugar con los nenes lo probé también con los amigos, que inicialmente vieron con cierto desdén al inocente juego pero que después de perder vergonzozamente ante mi amplia experiencia de 10 días decidieron pensarlo un poco mejor.

Como ya había escrito anteriormente estamos jugando Robotech, a la par que vemos en la casa la serie que ha captado la imaginación de mi hijo Iván, por lo que me aplique un poco e hice una adaptación.

Como se pueden imaginar son las imágenes que acompañan esta entrada del blog, bueno hay mas pero tampoco hay que saturar de imágenes, pero como no se trata solo presumir también hay que compartir, por eso dejo el enlace a mi google drive para que puedan descargar los archivos, contiene las imágenes, las reglas y un pdf listo para imprimir.

Something that helped me clear a little the idea jam was to look for print-and-play games to play with my children, for that purpose to visit The Journal of WKR (in spanish) is a must, I went into the world of boardgames, and I must admit that I was overwhelmed by the existence of both titles, both free and pay, with a range not only of prices but also thematic and clear presentations.

The game is called Dobutso Shogi, something like "Chess of the Animals", this game is the simplified version of the game Shogi, Japanese chess and was created by Madoka Kitao, who is also champion and professional player of Shogi.

Good question, since I am in a creative mood and since I made my own Dobutso Shogi game to play with the boys I tried it also with friends, who initially saw with some disdain the innocent game but that after losing shamefully before my Ample experience of 10 days decided to think it a little better.

As I wrote earlier we are playing Robotech, while we see in the house the series that has captured the imagination of my son Ivan, so I applied a little and made an adaptation.
