Star Wars El Ewok Piloto - The Ewok Pilot

______________________________________________________________________

I have to clarify something first, I like all 4 Star Wars movies that exist (yes, the 4, episodes IV, V, VI and VII, some say there are others but it is not true) I can see them and enjoy them, but I have friends who love them, there is a difference, between something I like and something I love.

The expanded Star Wars universe does not attract me too much for the same reason, I even shun it as it seems to me it's an amalgamation of fan stories (people that love SW), this dislike made me stay away from games Role of Star Wars for fear of encountering a FAN of the saga as a director, so when my group wanted to play just SW I was not very enthusiastic.

Fortunately my namesake Victor who proposed the adventure also offered as a director, I have little to know him but I must admit that it is quite focused so I felt calm about the meta-plot.

That tranquility increased considerably when we asked what we wanted to see in the adventure, if we wanted a specific period or a particular approach, we basically agreed that it was during the imperial era but before the events of the films, without jedi and with a use of force limited.

I had no idea it was what I wanted, so when I asked that the answer was missing was "the pilot" I decided to give it the fun touch, so after reviewing the races offered by the Star Wars universe (there is even a book Of them in the D20 system) I opted for ... an Ewok, well the image above is a lot of clue I admit it.

I discovered that ewoks could only speak ewokese, and although the ewoks are a primitive species nothing prevents in the rules (Star Wars d20) to be a pilot, they can even be a good pilot!

The story is simple, when the empire was looking for a base to build the second star of death came to Endor, hometown of the Ewoks, and I was trapped by Imperial scientists and later be stolen by smugglers.

The first contact with the Droids made me believe that they were gods, but everything changed when I met the spaceships, those were gods and droids mere avatars of them, my mission was clear, I would be a priest of a god.

To be able to communicate with me they provided me with a small droid that I can carry as a backpack that also can move a bit and that acts as a translator and interpreter, however the droid has a defect and is that translates a little at his convenience, not I blame him, since he has to be able not only to understand what I say but to be able to adapt my sentences to others.

Why adapt? For example the droid knows that my character does not understand much of technology and when using it is a ritual and shamanic, when trying to start a ship he knows that if you press certain buttons sequentially, makes a pitch, moves a lever , Gives two tapes to the board the ship starts, who sees the scene from outside will ask what is doing the ewok, the droid will answer that I am in the preparations to take off.

Anyway I had fun as a kid with this character, to which I must add that although in the past I have had approaches to the universe of Star Wars, this is the first time that really amuses me and I hope the opportunity to continue playing with Such a magnificent character.
